    Alan Ruck, an actor known for his roles on stage, television, and the big screen, was born on July 1, 1956, in Cleveland, Illinois.

    He developed an interest in theater during his school years and went on to study at the University of Illinois. Ruck began his career on the Chicago theater scene, appearing in various low-budget plays during the 1980s. He also performed in regional theaters before making his Broadway debut in Neil Simon's autobiographical play "Biloxi Blues" in 1985, where he starred alongside Matthew Broderick.

    Ruck delivered a brilliant performance as Carnie, a soldier who dreams of becoming the next Perry Como.

    Although Ruck's early film projects include "Class" and "Bad Boys" in 1983, his breakthrough role
